On this day 4 years ago the Yankees made one of their most important transactions ever, signing CC Sabathia for a then-record 7-year, $161 million contract. During his 4-year tenure in New York, Sabathia has compiled a record of 74-29, including two 19-win seasons and and a 21-win season in 2010, with 821 strikeouts.
