The Sultan (Sports Illustrated)

In 1920, Babe Ruth’s first season with the Yankees, the Bambino slammed 54 home runs, besting his own Major League record of 29.  His total pushed the Bombers above 100 home runs for the first time in their history and bested any previous Yankee team by 9 home runs.
