Herb Pennock, a pitcher for the Yankees from 1923 to 1933, was an exceptional big game pitcher.  The six-foot lefty won 162 games and lost 90 while in pinstripes for a .643 winning percentage, but he was at his best in the Fall Classic.  In his Yankee career, he finished with a 5-0 record in the World Series with a 1.95 ERA in helping the Yankees to 3 crowns.
